The Touchpoint Solution, the parent company of Buzzies, was recently selected in the top 25 for Arizona Commerce Authority’s Innovation Challenge. The Arizona Innovation Challenge, powered by Arizona Commerce Authority, awards innovative start-up companies and entrepreneurs to help grow their business in Arizona.
Nearly 150 applicants across the Valley were a part of the spring competition. The ACA awards consist of $3 million each year – $1.5 million for both spring and fall winners. This spring, six companies will be awarded up to $250,000 to grow their business while enhancing innovation and technology opportunities for the state of Arizona.
“We are flattered to be selected among other top technology and startup companies as a semi-finalist for this outstanding award,” said Vicki Mayo, CEO and co-founder of The Touchpoint Solution. “Having the support of our community is a huge honor and we are excited to continue to change the world as we help reduce stress and anxiety in people’s lives.”
Judges thoroughly evaluated each company’s application based on a set criteria including economic impact, technology potential, marketing strategy and quality of management team.
Launched in December of 2016, Buzzies are non-invasive, wearable devices that use patent-pending neuroscience technology, called BLAST (bilateral alternating stimulation–tactile), to relieve stress and anxiety, as well as improve focus, reduce cravings, improve performance, manage anger, reduce sensory overload and better enable sleep.
Buzzies are available for purchase at http://www.buzzies.com. A set costs $239 and includes two Buzzies devices (one for each side of the body) and charging cables.
The Touchpoint Solution’s second Buzzies product, Buzzies Basics will be launched via Indiegogo early next week. Buzzies Basics has the ability to communicate via infrared to create 3 different speeds: slow, medium or fast and will be available for purchase Tuesday, April 25.
Finalists for the spring 2017 award will be announced on May 24, while the winners will be announced on June 5. For more information about the Arizona Innovation Challenge, please visit http://www.azcommerce.com/.
