START Packets to Help Fight Drug Addiction –

SOMERVILLE, NJ — The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset and the Safe Communities Coalition of Hunterdon and Somerset counties announced a new community partnership Friday to fight drug addiction in Somerset County.

The groups have partnered to help educate and connect Somerset County residents with the resources they need to conquer their drug addictions with the use of START (Steps to Action Recovery and Treatment) packets.

The packets include direct referral information on addiction services and resources for preventing and overcoming addiction, overdoses and mental health issues. Police officers throughout Somerset County will deliver the START packet to families and victims at the time of their crisis.
