A Tasteful Affair to benefit Lupus Foundation set for June 23 at Ritz Charles – Current in Carmel

The Indiana Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America is hoping to raise funds to help solve the mystery of lupus. The foundation will hold A Tasteful Affair at from 6:30 -11 p.m. on June 23 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel.

The 21+ event will include a VIP chocolate and bourbon pairing, plus a food, beer and wine tasting. Dishes from local restaurants, wine and craft beer samples and silent and live auctions will take place during the event.

More than 20 vendors will be attendance including Chateau de Pique, Cork and Cracker, Upland Brewing Co., Monarch Beverage, Sullivan’s Steakhouse, J’Razzo’s, Easley Winery, Hell’s Greek Cafe, Sun King and Granite City.

“This is the second largest fundraiser of the year for the Lupus Foundation of America, Indiana Chapter, and the money raised will be used to increase awareness regarding lupus, to support those living with lupus, and to fund much needed research,” said Lisa Kelly, office manager for the Lupus Foundation of America, Indiana Chapter. “We are the only group in Indiana that works directly with lupus patients to help them better understand and manage the disease.”

Lauren Lowrey from WISH-TV and Ken LaRose from Butler University Athletics will emcee the event. The event will also feature a Wine Cork Pull, a 50/50 raffle, an Indy Photo Booth and live entertainment by The Bishops at 9:30 p.m.

Silent auction items include a week-long vacation package from RCI, a Nashville getaway package featuring admission tickets to the Country Music Hall of Fame and private tour of Ocean Way Recording Studios, a CBS4 Indianapolis Studio Tour, a deluxe wine tasting, Indianapolis Indians game tickets, jewelry, sports memorabilia and more.
